On Tuesday,Ruling Party Parliamentarians approved appointment of Yameen loyalist Ahmed Shareef Adam to the office of Elections Commission, Maldives . Appointment is UN-lawfull as the opposition had boycotted session called in to ratify the appointment.
Former EC president Fuwad Thowfeek told the Maldives Independent that Shareef was not an appropriate choice for any independent body.But if President Yameen wants to keep someone who will be ready to obey his orders without any respect to the constitution and laws of this country, Shareef may be his choice as he will not hesitate to do any dirty thing asked by his master.

1 . He has Previously served as secretary-general of the People’s Alliance party led by President Abdulla Yameen.
2.He is an MP from Thimarafushi constituency after winning a by-election in 2013.
3.He owns 1200 Sq. Feet land in Male worth MVR 8.9 Million.
4.He was involved in Corruption case of supply of cables & generators set worth 78 Million by UNI Engineer.
5.He received huge kickbacks worth MVR 68 Million from Malaysian, Singaporean and Sri Lankan Companies.
6.During municipal elections Last year, He misused his position as head of Fenaka Corporation and campaigned for ruling party PPM.
