MDP welcomed back Kulhudhuffushi City Mayor Mohamed Athif and North Kulhudhuffushi MP Yasir Abdul Latheef as they officially rejoined the party.
The re-affirmation of their MDP membership took place during a significant gathering at Male’ City’s Salt Café on a Tuesday evening. Among those present were President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, alongside Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid and Finance Minister Ibrahim Ameer, underscoring the event’s importance.
In a notable turn of events, Mayor Athif was joined by all fellow councilors from Kulhudhuffushi who had initially pledged allegiance to The Democrats, demonstrating a collective return to the MDP fold.
