This is the 1st person who became positive in Male’.The person is currently being transferred to Isolation Facility
It is the 6th Maldivian to test positive for the disease— Health Protection Agency (@HPA_MV) April 15, 2020
This marks the sixth Maldivian to test positive for the coronavirus, and the 21st confirmed case in Maldives.
Health Protection Agency has also warned that over 96,000 people may become infected with COVID-19 in the Maldives without the current measures taken against the virus.
During daily press conference held Tuesday HPA’s Dr. Nazla Rafeeq said ,such a situation can be avoided with appropriate precautionary measures, said Dr. Nazla, and stressed the importance of practicing personal hygiene and social distancing.
