Our country is in crisis,
Many feel a deep sense of pain.
But today, looking out at all of you I am filled with hope.
Today is a defining moment, it shows we still have scope.
The moment when Maldivians stood together against a corrupt President and his government.
All around the country, we all gathered
Thousands of people made their voice heard.
Political opponents united in a common goal.
Together, we cheered aloud,
That our spirit will not be crushed.
That hope is alive in our country.
And we can rise again.
