Health Protection Agency announced the 63rd COVID-19 related death in Maldives.
Accourding to HPA, an 67-year-old local male, brought to the Emergency Room of Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital as declared dead at 0600 hrs.
This marks the 56th local to have succumbed to the virus in Maldives. The remaining fatalities consist of seven expatriates, including six Bangladeshi nationals and one Filipino citizen.
Currently, Maldives records a total of 20,144 virus cases of which 2,605 are active cases, in addition to 17,470 recoveries and 63 deaths.
